Born in Campdevànol (Ripollès, Girona) on 7 November.
1927-1931
The family moves to the city of Vic, where he begins his education at the Escola Municipal de Dibuix and works as a painter and decorator. First exhibition in Vic.
1935
He enrols at the Escola Superior de Paisatge in Olot.
1936-1937
He crosses the border into France, settling in Tours, where he studies at the École des Beaux Arts.
1938
He enrols in the École des Beaux Arts in Brussels, where he studies under Professor Alfred Bastien.
1939
He returns to Barcelona.
1940-1942
He travels to Mallorca for extended visits. Exhibitions in Palma and Barcelona. He learns engraving techniques.
1943
He settles permanently in Valldemossa, where he spends a few years at the hotel de l’Artista.
1944-1955
Exhibitions in Barcelona, Palma, Brussels and Oslo. He travels through Europe.
1959-62
Exhibitions in Switzerland, Sweden and Boston (USA).
1964
Start of the annual concerts in the Torrent de Pareis (Mallorca), which he sponsors.
1968-1972
He is honoured with the Balearic Islands Medal for Merit in Tourism. He becomes a Member of the Sant Sebastià Fine Arts Academy, in Palma. He is honoured by the French Government with the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Arts and Letters).
1975-76
Exhibitions in Catalonia. Retrospective exhibition at the Roman Temple of Vic (Barcelona).
1980
Retrospective exhibition at the Llotja in Palma (Mallorca).
1987
He is declared an “Adoptive Son” of the town of Valldemossa.
1988
He is honoured with the title of Cantaire d’honor (Honorary Singer) of the Balearic Islands University Choir. Opening of the Coll Bardolet Art Gallery in Campdevànol (Girona).
1989-1993
Donation of works to the Museum of Lluc (Mallorca) and opening of the Coll Bardolet Exhibition Hall. He receives the Catalan Regional Government Creu de Sant Jordi Award, and the Gold Medal of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands. He is honoured by the Belgian Royal House with the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre de la Couronne (Knight of the Order of the Crown).
1995-2002
Opening of a new Coll Bardolet Exhibition Hall at the Museum of Lluc and opening of the Coll Bardolet Exhibition Hall at the Sucre de Vic. He receives different awards and honours. Exhibitions in Paris and Tours (France).
2005
The Coll Bardolet Cultural Foundation is founded.
2007
Opening of the headquarters of the Coll Bardolet Cultural Foundation in Valldemossa. He is declared an Distinguished Son of the town of Valldemossa. He dies in Valldemossa, on 30 July.
